Because we all need to hear what's really happening on the streets, in our homes, at our jobs before we can object to and defy harassment of all all types.

Because by sharing what we have been through, we don't ever have to feel alone again - and by telling the world our stories, we become a collective voice that recognises and works toward correcting a global problem.

Because it is so much easier for us to care about a problem if we put a face to it - and it's so much easier to use the energy of anger in positive ways if we know who is being affected by that problem.

Because the more hidden we remain, the more easily it is to be objectified, the easier it is to be harassed and the more we as individuals and communities will tolerate it and suffer from it.
